Fliers to Hang in Apt. Buildings

Ok just to get some facts straight, There are not many people selling FE in NYC, it has to do with the NY state law, which is very regulated, client actually has to sign a couple of extra forms in NY, most insurance companies do not do FE business in NY, actually Foresters is the only company I am able to sell, Presidential used to have a GI product, they have since closed down there FE business.

That being said NYC is one of the best places to sell FE, you never run out of people to see, There is more than 1 building in the projects, where I have more than 1 client, I dont have a car, I use Public Trans. most days I can walk to all my appointments.

Its interesting, starting out I asked in this forum, what you guys think about selling in NYC, everyone said cant be done, just shows you, NEVER ASSUME.

Jack,

I'm originally from New York. There are a pile of agencies that market aggressively in NYC. If I may be so bold, your ignorance to that fact doesn't change its truth.

Granted, NYC is large enough that you may not run into them often, but they are there.

Let's talk about carriers. Unity sells off and on, universal left the market, Columbian has good product. Foresters is there now and I think csa is as well. Most of the carriers that had been there for a while can't compete with the payout or product these fraternals offer because they're playing by a different set of rules.

Josh, great to hear feedback from a fellow New Yorker. I am starting out in FE in NY while not focused in the NYC area still
I am confident we have good product and a great audience to
do high volume selling. I think the NY crowd has been blasted so much by AARP & Colonial Penn that a good agent who knows our products in many cases offer better features will convert many sales. FE is in NY but its all over the TV in the From of AARP,,let them pay the bill for advertising and we can get the sale !!:)

Jack, go get them. We would like to hear more about selling in the concrete jungle. You don't need a car, just a good pair of shoes. Where in NY, do you sell. I think selling cancer insurance in Staten Island, would be profitable. They get the toxic polution, that blow over, from the NJ refineries and chemical companies.

Hand your business cards to gangsters. Tell them to give it to their moma so they can make her rich

Ran some leads there about 2 years ago inside the 285 perimeter.

Would do it again -- it was pretty fun.

Ya know.. that does make some sense.

When I was captive we did kids ID at the mall.

I got one or two sales from that but the company paid for the booth so.. I'll check it out though.

Maybe I need a little more training on that.. Let me guess it's 199.99 for the turn key system?

I sell mostly in Brooklyn, I used to order my leads in Manhattan, however the Ghetto is the place to be.

If I were working Brooklyn, I'd try to build a home service debit. Columbian Mutual (who Josh mentioned) would be a great company to use for that (they're set up for that system). If I remember correctly, some of their strongest agencies are in Brooklyn.

Excuse my ignorance, but what is home service debit?
