Florida Med-Supp Agents....

Do you contract through AARP direct or an FMO?

Are there states where AARP is cheaper than Moo or Gerber?

There are states where AARP may be more effective in situations other than MoO or Gerber.

I'm assuming your not asking with regards to N plans. Gerber has no immediate plans to release an N plan in Florida.

I went through an FMO. From what I've heard about AARP's rates, I haven't seen them, is they will be more for female non smokers but lower for men and female smokers.

I think you have to go through an FMO with AARP.

It's not always more for a female though...and even when it is a few dollars more sometimes they want it just for the name AARP. And sometimes they don't want it because of the name

I'm well aware of the varying political views of my clients. Athother thing I've heard quite a bit of is a lot are turned off by the UH name. It seems they've gotten some bad press locally over the last few years. One client told me there is a sign posted in her doctor's office that if you have UH, you will be required to pay for your visit up front and then get reimbursed from them. The doctor will make sure the claim gets filed, but you still have to pay up front. I think that's really meant for the non-med supp plans, but, the patients are scared anyways. That's why I'm getting both.

^Those are the clients where I don't argue. I just nod my head and say no problem. I have MoO and they are an excellent A rated company..........and you get more commission to boot

It looks like AARP is our lowest premium choice for the Med Supp here in Florida Tampa Area, anyone have a second choice or is MOO the runner up?

Still waiting on plans M and N with MoO to be approved in Florida. Squabble over the plan N rates MoO is proposing. DOI is wanting a 5%+/- higher rate on N then MoO is proposing.

MoO is offering a higher rate on plan M only.

Our DOI has to be one of the worst government organizations ever. I understand they are there to protect the consumer. How is it in the best interest of the consumer to make a company charge MORE for coverage?????????
