For FE Agents on this Rainy Afternoon

I enjoy all the recordings you post. One common denominator is the agents are always successful or doing well and using old school methods.

Seems like the *true* formula for FE is:

-Work on a solid presentation
-Work DM Leads
-Have money in the bank to survive lead investment

Everything else is looking for a shortcut. I just had my first week of door knocking and it's no fun at all. I'd say it's worth the investment to have the leads to call on Saturday and set appointments for Monday. If you have a solid presentation (and a good attitude with an aptitude for sales in general) than who cares how much the leads cost?

This forum will always reveal the reality of things ;)

It takes money to buy leads and balls to put your money where your mouth is. That is very hard for some people to do.

Any update from insuranceman of senior life? Would love to hear his interview

Greg was totally willing. We scheduled but played phone tag a little bit and I got too distracted and forgot all about it. I need to call him and see if he's still up for it. He would be very good since he is successful with an entirely different business model.

With Senior Life having such a bad rap around here I was advised to not even talk to them I'm not sure I would even listen to the interview.

I suppose I would out of curiosity but would anyone around here have anything nice to say afterwards? What's next, Adam Hale with LH? He is successful and makes tons of money....

Even if you don't agree 100% with an agents business model, it is still worthwhile to listen to what they have to say. I have learned much from people I disagreed with. As for Adam Hale, I would love to hear what he had to say in an interviewed controlled by Newby as long as AH could get past his1009 BS.. There is no doubt he has been successful doing what he does.

Canvassing may or may not be for you but there are agents that are very successful that never buy a lead. They canvass and work referrals.

Personally I think a listen to Greg would probably well worth the time. He is the only successful FE telemarketer that's been time tested. Sure you will have 2 or 3 month wonder and then never hear from them again. He's been doing it for years and also teaches it.

You could very well learn some thing to not do. That's a plus for me in listening to every "plug and learn" call that EFES has ever done. I've learned more of what not to do than what to do. It's still education.

But, the one thing that's loud and clear among all the successful agents is a common denominator. And it's real on the ones Newby is using. They are not hasbeens telling how they did things back in the day. Or talking marketing and recruiting talk. These are agents out there in the field of FE selling everyday.

You also wouldn't think that these competitors would all be fast friends but the fact is that this is a lonely job and there exists a bond among those that been through all the battles.
