Do you not have internet in Florida? What would keep one from listening to the audio that newby has at his site? I didn't realize that Newby had Florida blocked.

Of course he has Florida blocked....Doesn't everyone it is a state that can't handle thier own voting hanging chads all over the place.

I suppose I would out of curiosity but would anyone around here have anything nice to say afterwards? What's next, Adam Hale with LH? He is successful and makes tons of money....

Even if you don't agree 100% with an agents business model, it is still worthwhile to listen to what they have to say. I have learned much from people I disagreed with. As for Adam Hale, I would love to hear what he had to say in an interviewed controlled by Newby as long as AH could get past his1009 BS.. There is no doubt he has been successful doing what he does.

Canvassing may or may not be for you but there are agents that are very successful that never buy a lead. They canvass and work referrals.

I agree with Louis. I picked up a lot from the door knocking threads here. Many of the techniques there were garnered from several companies whose methods may not ever obtain the Good Rousekeeping, er, Housekeeping Seal of Approval. and yet, some still found success with them. Even some who do not dk could draw from these ideas. Does that mean I can be successful with the dk technique? Who knows? I know I won't until I try.

Bluntly put slushy, I really don't give a hoot whether you listen to Greg's interview or not. I know I will and I'll pay close attention because the man is good at his trade and willing to share. Though I do admire the fact that you went out and tried dk and reported back how things went for you.

A lot of people around here warn, and I think rightly so, not to try to reinvent the wheel. Great. However "the wheel" is NOT "buy dm leads, set appointments, make presentations." Now that I think about it, I'm not sure anyone has ever explained to me what "the wheel" actually IS. Either that or I'm just too thick to get it.

BTW, we've all seen cartoons of the "original" stone wheel. Don't know about that but I do know they were once made of wood. And steel. And hard rubber. And now rubber, steel and who knows what else, often filled with air. It's still a wheel. How would transportation be today if nobody ever sought to improve the wheel? Just sayin'.

Now, I am getting very frightened. That is the second time you have said you agree with me and my thoughts on "reinventing the wheel" are the same as yours. I am beginning to think you may be as deranged as I... :err:

Great point on reinventing the wheel. I was taught to prospect through relationship building. Now it is through a third party mail house.

Louis,

You may have a few years on me but when it comes to being deranged... I may have a natural advantage. :-)

Wino... building relationships seems a heck of a lot closer to the core. Your comment clarified my murky thoughts a bit with that one word... prospecting.

If "the wheel" is indeed prospecting, then that would make the leads we buy one tool used to prospect. Door knocking would be another tool. As one would add a pipe to a wrench to gain leverage, having a completed lead card in one's hand when knocking on that door adds leverage.

Thanks for the insight guys. This perspective helps me a lot.

You guys can't be out door knocking in this weather and I was sitting on almost 2-hours of gold from an interview I did with Travis (Hoosier Daddy) Tubbs last week. So I figured today would be a good day to roll out Part #1

Listen to Part #1 here – Audio Interviews

Part 2 is longer and has much more interesting stuff! We'll post it soon and have even more great things happening in the near future at http://fexcontracting.com Come join us!

Thanks, Scott! Your interviews are not only very helpful, but brilliant for managing and recruiting. You are appreciated!
