Forester's Rate Increase???

7-8 is good.

9-12 is excellent

10-year level.

Thanks for the heads up. I have seen contracts with 4% so I assume that they weren't the greatest deal going. The problem is that new agents usually don't know any better.

for all the bad mouthing Foresters receives, there sure seem to be a lot of agents concerned about their rates going up?

Even though I don't plan to sell Foresters anytime in the near future, I hate to see their rates go up. That relieves pressure on the other companies to keep their rates down.

I prefer ACI, but they are uncompetitive rate wise and their heart in combination with diabetes question always trips me up. Looks like I will be using them more now if they are equal to Foresters.

I like Foresters point of sale approval and the fact that many folks can get level with them that couldn't otherwise, but if they are as high as ACI now I will use another carrier as they are a nightmare to work with.

It's been verified to me by two other sources that there is indeed a rate increase with Foresters. I haven't seen the new rates or know how much of an increase it is, but good riddance really.

The rate increase is not as bad as expected. It's about $1.50/mo more for level coverage on both female and males non smokers. It is pretty bad for smokers. $5 to $7/mo. more for smokers. Higher rate increase on the graded and modified.

Coupled with the new app these will be some pretty big changes.

Wonder what the new app will be like. $1.50 more per 1k I assume? Is that what you meant?

No. The quotes were given to me over the phone. That was $1.50 more per month for $10,000 face on a 65 year old.

The app changes I saw a while back were not all that serious. Some questions that are 2 year lookback are now asked "ever?".

The rates for non smokers are not really changing but aboyt 2%. Smoker rates will not be competitive with Americo for example. I was getting this stuff verbally while driving so I didn't get a lot of details.
