I need some help. This idea came up to me when I stopped by a local funeral home to pick up their price list on Saturday. The idea is I want to hang around outside in the parking lot and solicit FE business. You know approach and talk to people about it and hand them my business card and maybe get some sales this way. What do you think and ANY advice you can give as to the right way of doing this.

You have got to be joking. If you are serious then you need to get out of the insurance business now. You don't have enough common sense for the job.

Thi won't work at the funeral home but it would work in the Walmart parking lot. Just stand outside and button hole every person who looks like they are more than 60 years of age.

Let me give you some help, do not do that! I was in that business for 12 years. Canvas homes around the cemetery and door knock doing a survey, like I'm in the neighborhood taking a survey trying to find people who own cemetery property, you don't own your cemetery property due you? Then move on from there and make an appointment to come back and present.

This guy reminds me of a guy I used to work with...This un-named gentlemen asked me if it would be a good idea to walk into a bank and ask for a list of their CD holders...Needless to say this gentlemen never quite made it...

LOL....But then again nothing wrong with asking...Though I doubt there are many banks out there that would violate thier privacy policies not to mention give up all that wonderful information just to give it away to a nonassociated person. Can't blame everyone for thinking outside the box.....

Now where was the thread where the Primarica agent stood up at the funeral and sai the widow was lucky to be set for life and try and get people to contact her during the actual funeral service.
