Graded or Modified Needed

Thats a tough spot... in 18 months she should qualify for immediate and at a better rate

If it's usually 6 months out- I'll be upfront and honest with the client and tell them to not waste their money and just hang tight and I'll get back with them then- However I will tell them there are risks involved and thats a decision they'll need to make.. I can get them graded now or wait 6 months.. I let them decide

Putting clients like this through a graded is tough.. when assuming nothing changes they can qualify for immediate and a cheaper rate once 2 years has gone by since their last heart attack

I am not aware of ROP, with LH. They go from FE then to graded. No modified, The graded is 15 pay. Maybe they have changed since you wrote for them. I am no cheerleader for them, and i am tip toeing as i write for them. In pa/nj, you are not captive. They will pay 80%, 60% graded. if you twist their arm. If i use their leads i sell LH, If i use my own lead, i sell SCA, Vantis, and sprinkle in the others i have. The bad of being indy is, companies get mad when you don't write any product. Madison said "no soup for you", because i didn't write them after 6 months. I have not seen any of the warning signs yet. My take on LH, it is no better no worse than the NAA'S. They all paint a beautiful picture, But in reality, it is a hard way to make a living. but as you say, beats making tires. Pa is a new territory for LH. and maybe it will change. I do see everyone wants to build a team, give me a break!. They have the rah, rah down, but forgot the main ingredient, selling skill.

Are you saying that LH's plan is not return of premium plus 10% for the first two years?

What I call "graded" is RNA's 30% 1st year, 70% second year of Foresters' is the same. AmCon is 40% 1st year, 75% second year. Those are graded plans.

Modified, ROP, etc are the ones that give the beneficiary the premiums back plus a % for the first 2 or 3 years.

For a while here LH had only the ROP in Ky but did have graded in In. They changed that in Indaina about the time they came out with their preferred plan.

LH graded is 30% first year, 70% second, In pa, CSA, Columbian, won't write graded in pa. I guess PA is tougher than NJ.
