GTL comm rates

Discussing commissions is like a 80 yr old woman discussing her age . If I worked a deal out with my IMO for 10-15 above street he doesn't want me telling everyone . Just like selling a policy depends on the skill of the salesman . Negotiating contracts takes a willing IMO to negotiate and the ability for the agent to negotiate and what do you have to offer . Few IMO's are giving you more than 75% unless you have an relationship with them . The 75% commish is really 70% as they don't pay commish on the policy fee .
 
thanks for the reply... takeaway is that 75 is street and a big user of gtl can try for 90? thanks... without discussing imo ,,,,
 
I'd say an IMO maybe 100 . As I recall to get 90 they wanted an agency doing like $500 k plus of overall life business .
