Having a List of Leads...now What

Hi all,

I have a list of leads for life insurance in front of me. I would like call and discuss with these prospects about my services and how my clients benefit from them. I have never cold called (regarding life insurance) and would like to know the most efficient way of doing so. Do I simply state my name and introduce my firm? Please assist.

call them and say yes my name is so and so and I calling to verify if the persons name is dead so we can take him off our list of life insurance query's......we get daily up dates.....

You have a list of NAMES. Not a list of leads.

Leads are people who requested for you to contact them.

but if you use the line I posted and put them in the grave they will laff and wonder........

As soon as I call myself "so and so" they just hang up.
 
Go straight for the kill.

Introduce yourself and maybe tell them about your services and ask them if you can help them or run them a quote.

Dont beat around the bush and go for the kill.
 
As mentioned above, is this list just a list of names or actual leads (where they have essentially expressed a desire to discuss insurance)?

If it's just a list of names I hope you didn't pay for it, as the white pages are free. If they are actual leads then call and tell them you are responding to their request for information on (fill in the blank) and you want to set an appointment to review their options.
