Having a List of Leads...now What

If it's just a list of names I hope you didn't pay for it, as the white pages are free.

Two serious major problems with the white pages are that they are not scrubbed against the DNC list which can mean a $16k fine per call and that they are not targeted by demographics so when can invest a significant amount of time calling folks who aren't actually good candidates for insurance. They also cannot be loaded into a predictive dialer which means spending more time listening to the phone ring, physically dialing the numbers, etc.

Bingo. I would rather pay $50 than even take a chance of loosing 16K. It might not happen a lot but I don't want to be the one who gets lucky with it.

Now that I think about it, i've never heard of anybody getting fined for calling someone on the DNC list. I'm on the DNC list and I still get calls. And who comes and collects the 16k?? I've decided making money is more important to me than worrying about if someone is on the DNC list.....if they bring that up I will kill them with kindness and move on to the next one. I don't foresee it being a problem.

You sound like part of the reason that there is a DNC list.

Back in the day we had a auto dialer and had someone that was goint to take us to court if we did not pay him off........

I think I would have fought that one.

The company lawyer said this was the cheapest way out and their are time bombs out there just begging you to call and bust you....hell after the health commission cuts have been looking to do this as a side job......
