Mark your calendars!

Since I doubt WBE's will have prices this early, do you think the gov't has the upper hand to take over distribution by driving everyone to HC.gov?

And it is really just over two months to go before the curtain comes up on next year's exchange offerings since consumers will be able to see what plans will be available starting on Oct. 10 during the "window shopping" period.

I think the gov't has the upper hand anyway but being able to window shop on October 10th helps us enormously, we can basically be ready well before November 1st with rates for our clients and hit the ground at full speed on November 1st.

If it happens, its going to be fabulous.

There really isn't much of a reason for them to delay it, the rates are already filed and will be approved long before October 10th.

My plan would be to calculate rates for each of my current clients for renewal as well as one option so they have it before November 1st-those who renew don't have to do anything so I can focus on rewrites and new clients during OEP, this will allow me to add clients this year when I wasn't planning on doing much of that at all (I am scheduling seminars with some church groups where I insure their staff so will have a good opportunity for that).

Why does health Sherpa have to wait until November the first? Think it will be the same with ACA Express?

I would imagine the data file for rates would be made available on 10/10 as well, as that was about the same timeframe (maybe a bit earlier) carriers/WBE's received it last year, however, as I recall, there was a CMS embargo on showing rates pre OEP....

If CMS allows us to we will. Until then we will continue enrolling SEP's , quite a few thus far too,

Fair to put handcuffs on one group vs another ? Nope, though not much we can do about it if they do

I've got a margarita, with the good stuff, that says on 10/11 we dont have 100% of plans/rates loaded
