HC Reform Will Cause Higher Premiums?

I heard that because of the Health Care Reform, now law that it will cause premuims to go sky high by 2014 for health insurance with all carriers. Is this true? Does anyone know?

We are being told to get our clients locked into 3 year rate guarantee because of this.

Why are the rates going to increase so much? What I am seeing is the rates going down not up...Am I wrong on this?

Who has a rate lock longer than 12 months anymore other than World?

Yes, rates will go up. Look at NY individual premiums, same thing in Massachusetts. Wellpoint did a huge report on it, so did the Department of HHS. Rates will go up, the question is how high.

World is the only one left with even a 24 month that I know of in TN. UHC suspended the 24 month locks last week.
