Anyone have experience with buying or selling HCSC Medicare book of business? I'm not currently contracted with HCSC but will be when their purchase of Cigna Medicare is finalized. I'm hoping that HCSC's policy on book of business transfers is more agent friendly than Cigna's. Currently Cigna has a policy that they will not approve a transfer if there has been any change in upline hierarchy since the transferring agent started writing the Cigna business. I've been trying to buy a small book of Cigna clients from a retiring agent but Cigna will not approve it because the other agent has changed FMOs a few times over the years. So hopefully I'll have better luck when HCSC takes over.
