I think the point went over your head. Not that it matters now, but the controversy was about Article II, Section 1 of the US Constitution, which doesn't apply to you unless you ran for President.

Good Sam has been around a while. Early on it was self funded with stop loss. The company I worked for in the early 90's reinsured the fund.
