Health Sherpa

I would think it was direct enrollment because you skip the account creation on their site. You have to sign something on the third page agreeing to all HS to enter your info.

Simply put, go to HS and try an app, just don't submit it. See what it looks like and how it works.

As far as LC events, I have entered several on HC.gov with the client. If it's a standard one: marriage, divorce, etc (those last 8 or so questions before you sign for eligibility) - the process works easily via website. If it falls under one of those complex situations, you will need to call the marketplace either to do it online, or have them "unlock" the green boxes when you go past the eligibility determination.

You can get the address and info needed from the eligibility notice.

You could also use the app id on eligibility notice to open a hc.gov account and bring over the app via "find your application" (or something like that). Once you have imported that app, you can upload docs and make life changes. Life changes could also be handled over the phone with 3 way call.

We appreciate your ongoing updates, Russell! Thanks to you, my HealthSherpa skepticism meter has moved from RED to YELLOW.

Please let us know 1.) when a submitted application shows up on the carrier website with YOU as the agent-of-record and 2.) if/when you're paid by the carrier (vs. by healthsherpa) with no commission split.

Once you're successfully over these last two humps, HealthSherpa will be just what the doctor ordered for increasing our efficiency. Just to be on the safe side, I'll go register with them right now...while it's free. They might "grandfather" early adopters, after it becomes a fee-based service.

There is a spot for credit card in the login and they charge per submission.

Thanks for that info TxInsurance. Well then, in the absence of an official agreement between agent and web-broker (healthSherpa), it will be WISE to use a pre-paid, reloadable Visa or MasterCard for enabling these automatic $25 deductions. Agreed?

No. I don't see why that is necessary they are only charging you as stated. This is a CMS approved entity it is unlikely they are going to intentionally charge you wrong. I find them to be upfront and honest and have no issues with that regard.

I don't agree at all, they have been very responsive regarding my single application so far-they mistakenly processed a $50 application fee for the application (I had setup my account prior to the change in fee with no intention to use them at $50 an app) and then changed it to the $25 before I let them know about it (which I did).

They have put lots of work into this website, that is obvious, and, in my opinion, need support from the independent agent community-this capability makes our jobs much, much easier.

I am still in the trial phase, of course, and all of this is subject to revision :1biggrin:

Me thinks we will have plenty of WBE platform choices, no reason to sleep with the first one. I read there are 36+ WBE's now
