Heart Attack Within 12 Mos

That's fair Mr. Overton but at what point do you advise what's best for the client over what's best for your wallet?

If I'm out working making a living I'm selling a product that pays me. $6 a month is not much difference for me to make $750 versus zero.

What's "terrific" about that rate? MoO would be $66/mo for that same guy, smoker or not, and they alos take the SS card.

Getting shilly in here.

Monumental wouldn't do immediate on this guy until after June.

JD, one more thing MoO accepts the SS card for the initial premium only. We accept it ongoing.

With all due respect, you didn't answer my question:

"at what point do you advise what's best for the client over what's best for your wallet?" ($10 mo? $15 mo?) Nearly $7 a month may not be a difference for you, but it might make a difference for a Senior.

JD, the terrific part is that we pay a nice commission. I believe you are referring to MOO's plan that is sold online or thru the mail that doesn't pay commissions to an agent. I like to get paid.

Fair enough but that doesn't match what you claimed about the rates being "terrific".

Vantis would beat the rates you said and an agent does get paid with Vantis.

PC the answer is a case by case basis because my service and advice, as well as yours is worth something. I've told people before you can save $5-$10 a month but you don't have personal service and you have to enroll on the phone or online. Every time I've said that to a client I've made the sale. I'm never $40, $50, $60, $70 higher like some carriers.

JD, Vantis does have a similar rate at half the commission.

I don't know too many consumers that would be happy if I said I'm going to have you apply thru a company that is more expensive than its competitors, but it pays me 2x the commission. Just my opinion

I am with you on the coverage. Personally, I will not recommend MOO's GI product and offer Kemper, Gleanor, or Vantis. When you take care of the case and get coverage for somebody that thought they would never get coverage you gain a lot of credibility. I delivered a policy yesterday and found out her daughter wanted to get coverage and thought she couldn't with Hep C and some other ailments.

Matt I somewhat agree. Vantis is occasionally a dollar or two cheaper, usually they are not.
