Hiring Someone to Create a Website Any Opinions?

Page 1? Ha!

SEO is my game...Page Seven is also my game!

I won't beat around the bush, especially a burning one.

My Spring Fling Special is my top-rated SEO service for $37 per month. I have waived all fees and upfront charges, with the exception of some backend fees and backend charges.

Page 1? Don't waste your time. Promises are broken too often.

I'll get you to Page 7 within 2-24 months. As an added bonus, I'll pick three phrases that will get you on Page 5. Average search volume about 200, which is pretty good (per decade).

You need a pro in your corner and not a handyman that just jumps from one job to another.

Need some domains? I'll pick some winners for you and you only pay $5 per domain. That's all. Every month.

Don't run away from this offer. Run towards it.

I used Go Daddy and I think they did a good job and got me up and running very quickly. I think it cost me about $600 but it includes changes and hosting.
However, it may be that I was assigned a slow reacting Rep but it takes several weeks for them to complete simple tasks like adding a testimonial.

I may be looking for someone new to host and service it for me next January if servicing time-frames do not improve.

You could probably have a nearly identical website in WordPress with lower ongoing costs and be able to edit the site yourself.

Jack, I can't tell if you're serious, so I'll assume you are. It's your money. But if you paid $10k for the site in your signature I would call them today and demand that they convert your hand-written signature to a .png file for transparency to remove the white block background behind your signature.

Thanks for the advice. Not my designers fault though. That is my fault completely. I downloaded and uploaded all images; wrote all the content, etc. I will try to convert signature to png file. I did not pay them to write content or add images. I do it all.

Then please excuse me for asking, but what was the 10K for?

Yeah, but lots of "web guys" promote both design and seo. So you never know what someones "designer" is actually doing for them. But I do understand what your saying.

A well designed website can be a businesses best asset. On the other hand, I would rather have an ugly looking website on page 1 than a beautiful site on page 100. To me, the SEO is worth 50 times the site design.

Why not try to have both?

Paid more than 10. Design and back end content management system. Was well worth it.

Imo that should certainly be the goal.

And it seems that site design affects SEO a good bit. So you think that the two would/should/could go hand in hand. But many on here (and in other circles) seem to think the two are mutually exclusive. As a client I would expect a web designer to at least have a general knowledge of seo and how site design affects it.

My point was more just the fact that it doesnt matter how great your site looks if no one visits it.
