How commonly do agents lie on apps?

out of my 20 years in this business, as far as I know this is the only person to pull this trick on me. When I told some other agents what happened, they said the exact same thing, why didn't you ask for the drivers license. I just assume that most people are honest and don't lie....out of 20 years to have one bad apple isn't too bad of a track record
