How Do You/How Are You Able

I am new to insurance. I am with what seems to be the anti-christ of insurance companies around here, Primerica. I figured it was a good starting point for me, even if I choose later to change companies.

Anyways, my question is: How do you take apps over the phone and such. With Primerica, we can only do it in person. I have family in like 5 other states, that I obviously can't fly to anytime soon to write policies for them. They want to know as soon as I am licensed, so that I can help them. But, I can't unless I go there. :swoon:

So for those of you that do this over the phone/internet, how is it done?

I hope your family helps themselves and runs away from you.

Re: How Do You/how Are You Able...

hehe, I am attempting to keep them away from my family. I have a policy as well as my m/fil. All others, are acquaintances from work and other various places. That said... are you able to help me with my question?

And if it makes a difference, I have signed the IBA, but am not yet licensed nor appointed by Primerica yet.

I hope your family helps themselves and runs away from you.

Primerica wants you face to face so you can sell to them then recruit them to primerica....

How do we sell over the phone/internet? Easy....we represent real life insurance companies that are not asking us to recruit agents and therefore vying for our business by making the application process easier. My advice would be to run far far away if you want to be successful in Insurance.

The number of independent agents who have success (and by this I mean can achieve a $80k + income) within their first year would far outweigh those who can do that with primerica.

I got a good laugh out of the guy who tried to recruit me...asked him how much he was making after 4 years and he told me about $3,000/mo.....which if you take the b.s. factor into account is $2k/mo.

In the real world that can be 2-4 cases which you should be doing a week.

Re: How Do You/how Are You Able...

You do understand you have to license in each of those states, yes?

Or.......... You can just recruit them to Primerica and put them in your downline!!!! If only I could find a way to recruit all of my clients to sell health insurance....hmmmmmmmm

I agree that there is no need to get your start with Primerica. You can start with ANY other company and sell better products AND make a better income AND not be brainwashed with useless gibberish.

Good, if your not yet appointed you can still cut your losses and move on I would probably join the Iliaa if you want to sell life insurance as your primary market.

If thats not your choosen market their are other great resources on here to help you along.

*Do you have your life and health license yet?
** Did your agent recruit you?

All I can say is you have been warned and you can search primearica on the forum and you will see their is almost nothing good ever said about them.
