How Far Do You Drive for Appointments

I'd like to bet that most of the Top producers are doing "whatever it takes" to make their numbers...

This morning my first 5 appointments are 2 hours away from home

the next 5 are an hour from there and the rest are kinda in the middle on the way home

Monday it looks like I will be hitting up to 5 towns, 3+ hours from home

On the 20th, will be getting on a plane to hit Alabama for at least 3 full days! Mail has been dropped and Thad will be there awaiting my excess lead order....

I wonder how far you all drive to appointments?

1. Whatever it takes. (Explain)
2. No more than an hour.
3. About 2 hours.

There and back not round trip.

I would love to Segway if you are a baller or ya just do ok and if it coincides with your willingness to (do whatever it takes).

I've done it all, and switch it up every so often.

A year ago I was doing 2-3 hours away.

Boundary lines were I-20 in Atlanta, west to Gadsden, straight-up North 200 miles to Cookeville, TN, eastbound to the TN/KY border, southeast cutting north of Knoxville, all the way southbound to northeast of Atlanta.

Presently, I am mailing select parts of my home county, the county adjacent to me, and several in North Georgia, all within an hour's drive.

After re-working local clients and lapses from years past, I had the realization of the importance and convenience of working locally, and decided if doing so was a profitable venture, that I would commit long-term to developing clients closer to my home base, so I could more easily service and gain referrals as the years go by.

I average close to 30,000 miles per year. So about 600 miles per week.

I genrally work the same area each day I'm in the field. Most of my drives to my first appointment are about an hour. An hour and a half is my longest one way drive.

Umm.......I literally drive anywhere! You know that though Thad.

Thad: Ben I have three apps in South Carolina to be wrote.

Me: email me addresses I'll leave out tomorrow!

Was a fun trip lol

I actually enjoy gong 2 hours away and working 2 days in a row. Get a nice hotel room and have a few beers along with a nice dinner. Wake up fresh and ready to go.

I find I work better without local distractions and if I am paying for a room and a night out I better be making some money.

Me too, I prefer working away. Yesterday drove 6 hours round trip. First appointment 10am, last 8pm, got home a little after midnight, yea I'm a baller I'll do whatever it takes lol.

If I can get one of my carriers to hurry up and get my appointment in Al I'll meet you guys and buy you a beer, the threads have been worth price of admission.

I drive no more than 20 minutes from home! I'm blessed to live in area I do. Although I do only get 15 leads per week, if I were ordering 30 plus like some agents I would be definitely be driving further out, but since I don't then there's no need for me at this point. Plus it's nice to swing home or to grandmas for lunch!! :) LOL

I miss my grandmom's lunches. They were a little odd in that she would makes ham sandwiches with butter in place of mayo. But they were delicious nonetheless. I recently heard a tv chef remark that butter can make anything taste good. I tend to agree.
