How Grumpy Have We Become?

I was speaking with an agent earlier today who doesn't even want to come on the forum anymore because everyone is so grumpy and it's not worth the hassle. Funny thing is, that's probably the fifth person that's told me that. I'm assuming that hasn't always been the case or am I wrong? Questions, comments, snide remarks?

Here's my opinion...it's an online forum. It's going to attract all sorts, but the question everyone has to ask is if it's worth putting up with the crap to get the good stuff. Despite what people complain about, if I have a question, this is a good resource and I usually get a good answer (or can find a good answer) even if I have to wade through some crap. Also, some people like to yank others around for fun. Depending on my mood, sometimes it's fun to read

Either way, I'll keep coming back because the good outweighs the bad.

In general the friction creates some light along with the heat.
If you talk to the agent who told you that, most likely they dont have any older brothers which increases the likelihood of becoming a lightweight. Just ask Al.

I got really grumpy toward the end of 2009 and for that I must apologize. The good news is that this forum has a "Block" feature which keeps unwanted post, from people you don't want to hear from, from reaching you and getting you tweaked and sideways.

There is tons of good information on this forum and it is definitely a useful tool for new agents. I am thankful for it, and enjoy sharing ideas with agents across the country.

I don't post much, but I read EVERYTHING and rather enjoy some of the grumpass comments sometimes. I do agree that the overall mood has changed a little since I have been a member, but I am learning more on this site than I learned in 10 years of working as a Captive agent.

I think a lot of it is people yanking peoples chain. It is a why of release for some. When I first came here I just read the post......Didn't want to get jumped on for a stupid question. But after a while I asked questions and tried not to look like a food source. But all in all glad I found this place. It has some really smart people that can help you make it in this biz. And then there is BLOCK and I have a couple on there as well.
