Sorry! I started on debit #14 with Liberty National district office in Crestview, FL on 10/3/1977. Don Steele was the Sales Manager who trained me. If they would fog a mirror they qualified. Spent 14 years with the company. They taught me discipline and work ethic. Left on 10/3/1991. Posted a while back that I contacted the HO about a letter I received concerning a pension I was due. Looking forward to a lump sum of $65,000 in a little over 3 years. It was a pleasant surprise.

Yes, it was Settlers. I was in Virginia at the time and Settlers had good name recognition, at least if you connected it to Huff-Cook. Everybody remembered the gospel music TV show that Huff-Cook used to sponsor. But when they went into receivership, all the policies I had just sent in to underwriting were declined. My old manager had been trying to get me back anyway, so I went and talked to him. Shortly thereafter I was back to captive at AGLA.

1985 @ John Hancock. Straight out of construction, moved to the Bay Area. Bought two gray and blue cheap suits and a tie at Mervyn's. My buddy's wife tied the tie for me.

Uh it's been like 6 months? i started captive at bankers life ate walmart shoes for dinner now i'm indy and i'm eating nikes so i guess i'm doing better.

I helped my first client 33 years ago this month.
I worked out rates with my TRS80 pocket computer. (I still have it. It still worked 5 years ago. Can't find the printer, though.)
