How much money did you make this year so far?

Made $164,,000 in renewals and $172,000 in new business this year so far. Started agency in January 2003 with no clients. This may not be that great for some, but for me and my family it's pretty good.

Lines sold: LTC, Med supps, annuities, Health, Life, Voluntary products, group, and a few others. No P&C.

Key is to build renewals and get referrals from all of your clients. Good Luck!

I applaud your great success but wonder why anyone would want to post their income, unless they simply want to brag.

As for me, I couldn't care less what someone else makes.

Welcome to the forum.

An agent needs things: a good source of leads, good fmo one whose ceo was preferably producer, general agent, and if you are fortunate as I was also the president of two life insurance companies, and this SKIS program (Stupid Keep It Simple) of Success and these are not in order because for me the last one is most is the most important 1. Set the right goal 2. Educate or train to achieve your goal(s) 3. Maintain good physical and emotional health 4. Drive 5. Resourcefulness ie Contingency plans 6. Perserverence 7. Contact with God , and by the way my first year as stock broker my avg monthly income was $18k per month not year

Empathy will get you almost everything.

And be awesome to your employees- if you are a boss or manager. For goddsakes, they are what can hold everything together, and get you out a bind.
