Hub Pages and Squidoo

some people drive decent traffic from twitter squido etc., but i did not try yet. i dont know if creaitng an insurance related lences is a good idea but i will try sth.

Have you guys seen the competition in Google for online insurance 92,000,000 for those keywords alone. you have to narrow it down to a niche with at least 30,000 competing pages.

Yahoo would drive better business and conversions than what google is offering. Better to go where the market is Hot and the competition thin..... some thing to think about ?????? No wonder you guys are getting slapped by Google try building a FAN base before a Client base .... build it and they will come.

Page Rank is useless if you can't convert

Yeah, they're great for building backlinks, but not great for driving referred traffic really. Although, to be fair, Squidoo isn't as good for this as it used to be - Google "Squidoo slap" to find out more.

With solid content and keyword research, Squidoo can be an excellent source of traffic. Here's a simple Squidoo formula that will work.

Create a Squidoo lens based on the long-tail phrase "low cost health insurance texas" or any other keyword with low competition that's getting searches...

This phrase received 2,400 searches last month according to Google's keyword tool and would be easy to rank with based on the search results I'm seeing in Google.

Create a nice lens that's not spammy and have it link back to your site. In addition, write an original article and submit it to article directories like ezinearticles utilizing the same phrase. Link this article to your Squidoo page. Rinse and repeat... Then do this with a new keyword phrase.

This strategy takes time, but done correctly with some solid keyword research WILL generate targeted traffic to your site.

With a squidoo page, how are some of you using them, as insurance blog posts? And if so, is there an optimal word count.
