Door knocking a lead and cold door knocking (canvassing) can be two entirely different animals.. If it is a lead, thye have had some interest at one time or another an the lead acts an invitation to conversation...Canvassing,you are a complete stranger who has no reason (in the occupant's mind) to be on their door step, let alone asking for personal information.!!!I have never had a prospect not give me their policy info at the door and I door knock all my leads. If I hear they have had a WL for over ten yrs I congratulate them and move on to the next lead
From cold door knocking? Really? In my 20+ years in this business, I've never seen it. Maybe vacuum cleaners would be a better product for you...I want to develop the ability to easily sit them down,show me what they have and place them in a much better policy.
