" I Already Have Life Insurance" Objection when Hitting Doors.

I have never had a prospect not give me their policy info at the door and I door knock all my leads. If I hear they have had a WL for over ten yrs I congratulate them and move on to the next lead
 
Why not find out if you can give them more coverage,less premium....etc ?
You are there,it only takes a few minutes.
What if they have LH ? Senior Life ?
Don't you feel you are leaving money on the table ?
 
If they have had any of those companies more than 10 yrs. I am not beating the rates. Case in point, a guy I saw today had a WOW policy for 20 yrs. Told him good job and left, plus the body language indicated nothing was a gonna happen

Door knocking a lead and cold door knocking (canvassing) can be two entirely different animals.. If it is a lead, thye have had some interest at one time or another an the lead acts an invitation to conversation...Canvassing,you are a complete stranger who has no reason (in the occupant's mind) to be on their door step, let alone asking for personal information.!!!

In fact,I find most have a term policy and are already in their seventies,and lots of them have multiple small face amount policys from debit agents who are no longer around.
I want to develop the ability to easily sit them down,show me what they have and place them in a much better policy.
There has to be highly talented agents on this forum that do that regularly ?
It's a talent for not bypassing on opportunity.
That's what makes a top earner.
 
When door knocking a lead card, if they say they already have insurance, I respond with (look at the lead) "I'm confused"...then look at them for a second and look back to the card..."I'm confused, then, why did you mail in the card?" Wait for an answer....

I've used the above effectively, also the old question, "Is it term life or whole life or universal life?"

As stated, the purpose is to start conversation...If their purpose is to blow you off... Go on to the next door.
 
Hey Rich,we are talking cold knocking,no lead card. Doesn't really matter,you hear it either way,lead card,phone lead,hitting the neighbor.
