I'm An SEO Expert. Ask Me Anything !

Something I always wondered. Sometimes I will see someone advertizing they can make someone a number one ranking on ____.

Well my question is how many number one spots are there?

I like your site TONS of content and you have a PR of 3 which is good especially when you look at the PR of some of the sites in this forum. I would change your meta tag title to some series of keyword you want to rank well on. Start small...Make your title tag soemthing like "Orange County Life Insurance | The Life Insurance Expert

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
a 5% conversion is not difficult. Hell shoot for 3% anything less = low quality site

But then he would be portraying a falsehood as Al is NOT a life insurance expert.

Infinite.

There are as many number 1 spots as terms you can make up.

There are a much more limited number of terms that are actually searched enough to care about.

Thousands and thousands. The question is for the term. This has been addressed before, but one can easily rank for longtail search terms like "rainbow colored melted ice cream insurance" because there is little to no competition for it. "Hooray, I got you page one for google!", but if it gets searched twice a year or gets searched by the wrong type of client, what good does it do you to have one of those famed page one position one spots?

Another trick they'll do is guarantee overnight results, which likely can happen, but it means they're using PPC which will also get you page one, but BFD.

Mat Cutts said in his video that it isnt important to be on first place in the rankings, but how many site visitors become your customers:)
