Specifically asking independent agents.
Do you hire captive agents who want to become an instrumental part of your firm/agency. Or is the non-compete and other situations kind of a turn off when hiring.
Mainly asking because I'm currently with a captive in a very 'hunter' role. After 2-3 years it'll dry out due to ability of less New Business. At that time I'll be looking at joining a captive agency with 'buy in' abilities.
Is that common, even if it's a tiny percentage of the book? Just curious, I know it's a double question in the post but would be greatly appreciated.
