Insurance Scam

:policeman:
Nobody asked you.

And as far as your opinion of me not being successful, since it's YOUR opinion, I take it as a complement.

Regarding those who actually care about their clients, do you really care about your 4 clients?

Rick

Rick, I thought you and Al made up at the end of last year. BTW as a graduate of UCLA ( magna cum laude), I am sure you know the correct spelling is compliment when the word is used in the context you intended !:policeman:

"That being said, this is an opportunity for agents to create a listing for their business and website if you are willing to provide well-written, detailed information to help consumers. "

So how much? Is this how you feel you'll make money?

Look, all the traffic we've received (and we've received a lot) is from this forum, honestly. At this moment, you can post freely and create your business listing. We are looking for hordes of content from all over the web, and articles from agents that detail ways to get a claim paid when it's been denied or pitfalls to watch out for from insurance contracts... virtually ANYTHING that HELPS consumers make informed decisions is something we want to provide.

So, you help us out, we help you out, it's a win/win.

IF we find it absolutely necessary to take payment from agents to maintain their listing, I GUARANTEE (here it is, in writing), you will have at least 30 days advanced notice. This time would be for you to monitor how much ROI you actually receive and determine for yourself if it's worth paying for. Let me repeat, IF we find it absolutely necessary... don't ask me how much because I just don't know.

I want to keep it free, but I just don't know how long that will last before we would be overwhelmed with agents all over the internet potentially flocking to do it. So, the simple truth is I won't pull a Bush with the, "Not gonna do it, not gonna do it..." because if we have to, we will. But in fairness, you'll have plenty of notice to monitor the marketing from your listing to determine your ROI.

Right now, it's FREE, and it will continue to be until further notice.

One other thing. If the posts are going to be state-specific, which for insurance is very critical, make sure that your system has accurate state location information requirements.

As is seen often on this forum, one question that has to be asked many times is "what state are you in". Any agent offering advice to someone with a complaint, issue or needing assistance, needs to be familiar with the product specifics of that state to accurately assist.

If you look closely at ROR, you will find many many posts on there with things like:

John Doe, Calgary, California
Jane Doe, Brooklyn, Tennessee
Missy X, Vancouver, Alabama

It's hard to take the post seriously in that situation.

Just a head's up.

We are developing a better system for entering information on the site, but that might not be up and running by the time we see traffic (if Google decides they love us, of course). This has already been discussed, and we do have plans to make this and other changes. We have the site in a functional state, and we'll continually work to make improvements to it as time passes.

Just wanted to see if you were still reading the forum!

Healthagent/John asked whether you and your attorney wife are similarly motivated to develop a site to monitor scumbag attorneys. What was your answer to that? Or does she have to work during the day instead.

Scumbag Law Firms, you mean? I don't know of any. Do you?

Surely you jest or are asking if I know any just within a one mile radius. Otherwise it is wall-to-wall scumbag law firms in this country. Probably you and the wife are programmed to see that more clearly in insurance carriers but filter it out where it is not convenient.

I don't make distinctions among industries. Where there's a public outrage, I'll cover it. If public policy was being influenced by the public's cry for Law Firms to be more regulated then I'm sure there would be more people searching for that information on the internet. Let's see.

Attorney Scams - 260 searches per month
Lawyer Scams - 160 searches per month
Law Firm Scams - 36 searches per month

Compared to...

Insurance Scam - 8,100 searches per month
Insurance Scams - 3,600 searches per month
Life Insurance Scam - 1,600 searches per month

You can find this all on Google Adwords, Winter. See for yourself.

The numbers speak for themselves.

Whatever. You can google "walmart fraud" and get 3.5 million hits so maybe that can be a direction for you too.

Again, it comes back to the question.... how do you expect to make a living? Is it going to be in this industry or from this website or somewhere else?

I mean unless you are a trustfund baby, you've created something that can't pay you. Why?

I know your "doing the right thing" and all that, but at the end of the day, how do you pay the rent?

or are you solar powered?

I'm making a living already, Gilmore. I don't need to explain anymore than that. Thank you for your "concern" though. I'm sure it's sincere, too...

But we already covered that earlier...
