I never understood why someone would shell out big bucks for a brand then change the name. Makes no sense to me.

The article said QuinStreet is in the lead biz already and Insure, soon to be Life Quotes, will migrate into the lead gen biz as well. If it gave the name of the lead vendor, I missed it.

Placing a $1.6M bet on the site and selling it 8 yrs later for 10x is a good return. But I wonder how much the Las Vegas crowd made by betting on a dark horse like Obama to win the Nobel Peace Prize?

Insure.com was always a company that did their own lead generation. They are selling the website which includes articles, but mainly because the site has name recognition.
