Is that a State or a city? ;) Sorry.

Very large state...Not so many people...We realize in Maine that a highway/interstate is not for stop and go crawling traffic but for highway speeds Rush hour is when its you and the deer on the road :)

And anyone that says Florida isn't hard to sell in is lying or dreaming.
Any factual basis for your assertion?

Sounds like you might've washed out here in Florida and had to go back to Maine with your tail between your legs? I'll bet it's awful chilly in February...

I've lived, and been involved in the insurance business in Florida for over 20 years. I personally know many involved in the final expense business (and many other lines) who are some of the top producers in the nation.

These types of comments are generally from failed producers who are looking for some rationale to "blame" - that doesn't involve them looking in the mirror.

It is cold in Feb in Maine...Why else do you think we send our cranky snowbirds to Florida?

um, again, I say, that Florida is not easy for the beginner. Not enough prey for the vultures. It's not like Mississippi or Alabama or Georgia or Louisiana. But for the true insurance professional, it's ample and lucrative.

EFES has new agents in Fl signing up all the time and killing it. But I can't see that any state would be tougher or better than another. I've only sold ins in 8 states so maybe I don't have a broad enough experience but I've helped train new FE agents in Fl that have done quite well.

That's the difference.

He mentioned Vultures. You mentioned killing.

Vultures sit and wait for something to die before it eats. Predators get hungry, they go out and kill something.

Whatever. Talking to a bunch or recruiters is a dead end road. FE is great to sell but harder in some states. Florida was the hardest for my agents. Well, maybe California was a little harder. But neither are impossible. It just take s a real special agent to make it.

Hi Marc,

I have no dog in this fight. I do not work for anyone and no one work for me. But I have been doing this for a couple years. If it is easier in other states, which ones? I may move there. There certainly is no shortage of business here.

I have never worked Florida. But we hear people here in California saying LA is bad for X type of sales or the Bay Area is bad for Y type of sales. Yet there are agents making good livings in all the areas. I believe I could make it in just about any area. Well, check that, Anywhere they are not playing banjos. :goofy:
