Actually they're going OK (life/ some health), but you have to be patient and keep in touch (lightly). Most if not all, I have written (initial application) have come at least 60 days to a year after first contact.
They get bombarded, quit looking for a month, get a low key call or email and the process really begins. Everybody else has quit because the customer didn't jump right away. So pretty much it's just you and them. I don't really press the sale unless there's an age change upcoming.
the goal is to always have stuff finishing up, stuff in the middle and stuff begining. Knowing that stuff is finishing up (getting paid) and other stuff is in process makes it easier to be patient for the beginings. Then it's just a matter of keeping it going.
