What's the story on this GI product from Kemper? What's the street commission? Is it a true GI?

I can pick up a contract for it but I just did a quick comparison on the rates and they looked considerably higher than MoO or Vantis so I didn't look further.

Do they have anything special to offer that would make one take a look at them?

I haven't looked at them really but everytime I see their name I think of the P&C carrier Kemper Preferred.

Maybe I'll market them together and see what happens, Kemper can do well for old people anyway.

Along with the GI, they are also offering a Home Health Care policy which could be a selling plus for senior that can't afford LTC yet need to have coverage for care in their own home.

JD, street is around 50%, just like Presidential. Comparing to Presidential, they are cheaper.

They do have the stand alone HHC. There used to be many companies that had that, but not any more. Does anyone know of another company that offers stand alone HHC?

I haven't been able to look at premiums yet - they have a 20% ROP for the first two years but I would want to look at the numbers to see if it justifies the higher premium. EFES said contracts were emailed but I haven't gotten mine or any other materials. Sent and email yesterday after the conference call but no response.

I would like to see the stand alone health-care but most of my clients so far are having difficulty coming up with 50/mo for life insurance.

So, what's the street for Vantis & MoO?

The MOO product can't be sold by independent agents, unless they recently changed it. Vantis Premiums are close to that product, but the commission is only 35% with 2 year agent chargebacks. Kemper gives you 55% plus no full chargeback after 6months if death occurs and no chargebacks after 1 year. Another nice thing is the client gets 20% on there money where the others just pay back what they put in during the first 2 years. If you consider everything, Kemper has a nice product.

Bankers Life used to.

Kemper also starts at age 40. Vantis starts at age 50. Probably not much of an issue if you target the traditional senior FE market, however, they are the only one I found that does younger than 50.
