...in 2009, he had throat cancer and the radiation caused his throat muscles to atrophy to the point where in 2020, he started to use a feeding tube because it was hard for him to swallow on his own. He's in New Jersey and is in otherwise very good health. Bloodwork is excellent.

In about 2016, he had prostate cancer, caught it early by chance and was cleared shortly thereafter.

But the feeding tube. Assurity declined on that. Does anyone know of any other options for him? DOB is 10/6/55, looking for 100k GUL preferably, but will consider other options.

Aside from having cancer in 2009 and again in 2016, he is in perfect health. I would write 1 or 2 guarantee issued policies while searching for a larger, single policy. You can always cancel the first 2.

Did Assurity decline him for instant issue or did you go full underwriting?

Just curious, how many times has he had aspiration pneumonia?

FamB will do $25 FE. A few others too. Don't recall them asking about a feeding tube. But you're wanting $100 and at his age that's going to be fully underwritten with anybody. Midland Natl is pretty good on UL at older ages. Don't know how they'll react to the tube.

I just came across your post and wanted to say that I'm sorry about your friend's health challenges. It's great to hear that his bloodwork is excellent despite the difficulties he's faced. As for options for him, have you considered reaching out to support groups or advocacy organizations for individuals with similar conditions? They may have resources or suggestions for insurance options that could help with the feeding tube. Additionally, it may be helpful for him to use 5g protection clothing, as it can provide some protection against electromagnetic radiation from devices, which some studies suggest may have negative health effects. This could be a useful addition to his overall health and wellness routine.
