Ok, so I was a little drunk the other night when a LH commercial came on. I called the number and gave them my info. I figure, if the agent that comes over doesn't do anything shady, I can throw him some free leads and recruit him.
Well, he came by this morning!
I told him I had COPD, Smoked, and Was Epileptic, to see how expensive their Modified was.
I told him I had been epileptic and with COPD for around 4 years.
There were no Seizure or Epilepsy questions on the application.
He told me that since I had the COPD for more than 2 years, I would qualify for Standard Smoker rates. I showed him that the application clearly said, "had been treated for or seen a Dr for" so it can't be considered maintenance since I was taking all sorts of meds for it and was with the doctor the other day about it. He insisted that I can say no on the POS interview.
I also said, what if I was on Dialysis and started that over 2 years ago? He said First Day Coverage! As long as you have had ANY condition for more than 2 years you can answer NO to the question.
I explained to him who I was, handed him $40 for the cost of the lead, and let him know that what he was doing was going to get him reported. He stated that he had already been reported once, and recently, had to do an interview with the state. lol
He explained that this is how he was taught to sell and that he was licensed 2 years ago and been with LH for a few months and was already one of their top producers.
