Live Transfers from digbga

FWIW I have known Jeff (virtually) for several years. Early on we talked on the phone a few times as he was feeling out the world of underwear agents selling by phone.

I have followed his path via posts on the forum. Jeff is a visionary who knows what he wants and is willing to invest the $$ to move the needle. Some of his paths have worked out better than others but that is the nature of the beast.

Take calculated risks, invest, measure ROI, tweak.

If I wanted to get back into life insurance sales I would sign on with Jeff in a heartbeat. Other agents prefer to beat their head against a wall by doing it their way because they mistakenly believe their way is the only way that works.

It works for them because they are close minded to trying new things.

One agent I know has done very well with Jeff's system. This agent was selling by phone and doing reasonably well but not making what he wanted to earn. He joined Jeff's team but did not completely buy into the system. He wanted to still do things his way by taking what Jeff teaches and adapt it to his methods.

He had better success than before but until he made a commitment to doing things the DBGA way he did not realize the potential of Jeff's system.

Jeff has his detractors but for the most part, it's either folks who never TRIED Jeff's system or they dipped their toe in the water but did not put forth the $$$ or EFFORT to make it work.

The DBGA way is turnkey and designed to turn almost anyone into a superstar.

That's just my opinion.

I understand you have some guys doing really well . And I'm really really good on the phone . And I know guys like Somarco and Westphal do well selling Medigap on the phone . But somarco even says " they call him". And many agents selling mortgage protection have great persistency. But fe is just different . Same goes for duals . To even have a chance at even a smidget of loyalty it requires personal interaction. Every mapd I sell I give a Humana pill box with my name and phone # on it .I beat in their head I represent all CO's and will be their agent for life . I'm like the guy pumping your gas of old or the milk man delivering the jugs of old .I'll personally door knock every present client in the 2 weeks before mapd and go over their new plan .Many I have fe with also . I can't Speak for other agents but I've had great success replacing over the phone agents .

Would it be fair to say the reason for the ave. $1200 AP per sale is the selection of TV programs that your commercials run in? Does your commercial run nationwide or in certain states? Thanks in advance.

We don't run our ads on cable and choose the TV programs - that is one major differentiator of the quality. We use "Over The Top" (OTT) streaming services that bypasses cable, broadcast, satellite etc. We run our ads currently in 25 states.

I agree.

A lot of big corporate call centers are trained to make a sale, then pass off to customer service team and never hear from the agent again. Indy agents aren't trained this way.

Indy telesales agents are trained to make a personal connection on the phone...after all it's their business. Many agents do the same as you and send a thank you package with something similar among other touch points after a sale. Persistency on telesales is as good or better than f2f when an agent sells properly.

Would you have something that would fit a colt mustang pocketlite?

Agreed.

So many agents are hit and run agents. They leave so much money in the home.

You're confusing personal interaction with in-person interaction.

I work similarly to Bob, carry some Duals and have no loses.

Clients know if they call me they'll reach me in 2-3 rings or a callback in no more than an hour 90% of the time. They know they'll hear from me by email within an hour every time they call getting a summary when we talk. They get a monthly newsletter from me every month and a call for just checking up every six months.

That's relationship building. I don't have to be in people's home to do that.

Don is stuck in this f2f thing as they only way to sell Duals and FE. Jeff can cover FE, but I call bs on the Duals part.

PS: I sent a welcome package on every initial contact with a branded letter opener. When they buy I send a branded coffee mug and ask for referrals.

How many policies do you issue each month?

The dudes a piker . . I think I while back he said 17 ytd . To make a living you need to be doing that monthly

Does it matter? Persistency is a percentage. If I have 100% retention writing 4 or 400 cases a month it doesn't mean anything.

Secondly, I haven't lost a client since 2019. Don gets his panties in a wad because I don't go kill myself to write as much business as possible. I'm also selective in the people I work with.

Because I'm not desperate. That's a choice. I don't write everyone and see what sticks.

You can call that a Piker, Don.. but I'm not the one bitching about call centers, AHIP, or losing clients...

You have JefF with hundreds, if not thousands of agents writing telling you that persistency is the same, regardless of in person vs telesales when you do the job correctly.

Bob can tell you he doesn't lose clients that often except natural attrition due to death.

I'm telling you I write a handful of Duals and I haven't lost any in years.

You may not agree, but considering I've done f2f AND telesales that F2F does not create nearly the hardship you think it does.
