Living a Long Life Is Costing a McLeansville Man A Lot Of Money

I love how the daughter is frustrated. I wonder if she would have been frustrated if he had died already and she received a check!

I'm also frustrated at paying around a hundred thousand dollars for my home owners insurance and never making a claim.

I'm also frustrated at paying thousands and thousands of dollars for my auto insurance and never making a claim.

I'm also frustrated at.... Oh Hell, you get he idea! lol

I just wrote a lady about 3 weeks ago at her age 84 (not with MoO, but another company). She wasn't preferred but standard immediate benefit. I got the policy about a week later, and called to make an appointment for delivery. Her family called back and said she had died suddenly the night before.

We're working through the claim process, and I have every expectation that they'll receive the full amount, even though she only paid the initial premium. I don't expect any family members to be frustrated about that! I also don't expect it will be reported in the news.

I love this quote FROM AN INSURANCE AGENT:

"Some companies will provide a one year "contest" window versus the two years where if you pass away you simply get your money with interest paid back to you."

What an ***. He's conflating contestability and a waiting period. Furthermore, there is no policy with a 1 year waiting period.

Sounds like his wife bought this policy without the help of an agent: GI from Moo, Moo sent "an" agent out not "his" agent out, "she selected" the easy access payment option where they take it from your account.

If he is only 91 and outside of some hearing loss is pretty healthy, he could have gotten a much better deal 9 years ago when she bought that policy.

I want to know if you used an agent before I listen to the boo hooing

Gibberish or not, he just got some nice local publicity by putting himself out there. Hopefully that statement does not come back to bite him one day.

It's not a quote technically its a paraphrase. So he may or may not have said exactly that.
