Is there such a thing as 1 and 2 Year MYGA's? Does anyone know if there are any companies out there that offer these anymore?

I don't think there are any carriers offering 1/2 year annuities but I have written quite a few 3 year MYGA with Liberty Bankers Life recently, so you may take a look at that term for your Clients. It pays a decent comp. and you get a chance in 3 years to move the funds again.

I don't see anything with a 1-2 year period, Here are the 3's:
Equitrust Certainty Select 1.8%
Fidelity Guarantee Platinum 1.4%
Forethought SecureFore 1.9%
Guggenheim Preserve 1.75%
North American Guarantee Choice 1.45%

Here is a list of cd rates I pulled:

I know one gentleman on here that refers indexed cd's which is novel I think.

Oxford also has some strong MYGAs right now. 3 year plan is paying 1.75% and they are an A- carrier.

There's a fraternal that has a money market paying 1% interest and a 1 year paying 1.65% interest. I forget the name of the fraternal, but I can probably find it in my emails. Whether or not it's worth doing business with, only you can decide that. I haven't done anything with them.

Last I looked the shortest MYGA that Guggenheim has is a 3 year surrender.

Well I must be wearing orthopedic shoes, because I stand corrected. Pulled the application on the last one that I wrote and they do indeed only go down to a 3yr.

IR at that time was 2.1%, maybe that's where I got a 2 in my head?
