Looking to Sell Final Expense

I have been out of the loop for a while, a year to be exact. I just renewed my life license and want to start with selling final expense and maybe term ins. I have a PC license and work for an agency in the Los Angeles area. I am hoping to open my own agency but since I am working a full time job, this will take a while. The agency I work with offers PC only so I don't even know where to begin to get appointments. I had/have my life license from starting at Farmer a couple of years ago. So far, I am finding the independent side more enjoyable with much more to offer. I let my life license lapse, but as I mentioned at the top, I just renewed it and want to jump in. Any advice or direction would be greatly appreciated.

Craig,

Are you broke? If so, this will greatly determine your entrance back into the field. Leads cost much money. I like Mark's prospecting strategies a lot. Good stuff.

If you have some money or credit and you hate prospecting, then you will have to set up a lead campaign. You can waste commissions and money and have someone do this for you or you can do it yourself.

So you've been successful dropping mail in L.A. for FE?

I believe integrated benefits will send you $99 1000 piece mailer when you sell 4k AP in FE with them. That's what I read in an email they sent me and that's what I'm counting on them doing for me next week.

Hey Craig, Hows it going?

I second starting at Independent Life Insurance Agent Association - ILIAA Call Nick and have him suggest some webinars to check out. Won't make you a super star Life guy. But will help you gain some direction. And he does not contract so he is not selling you anything. Not that any of these fine gentile men here would.
