Lucky or What?

I’m going to tell you about my Saturday, but trust me; it has a point to it.

This Saturday, was a perfect weather day here in Georgia. So I decided to spend most of it outside working in my yard. It has been raining a lot here in Georgia or it has been really cold.

So I decide that I need to go to Lowe’s Home Improvement store to get some yard stuff that I needed.

I take 2 of my kids with me, and I’m sitting there talking with the kids trying to pick out some grass seed and yard fertilizer. This man approaches me; he works with Scott’s that makes all the yard stuff that I need. He asks me if he can help me, and I said yes. I’m clueless to which one of these seeds I need and the fertilizer also. So he helps me and before I know it we are talking about everything. I ask him how long he has been working for Scott’s and we get talking about the Economy. He tells me he does this part time and asks me what do I do and I tell him. The next thing I know he tells me that he needs to buy some life insurance on his wife and himself. I stayed there and talked with the guy until my kids could not take it anymore, and now I have an appointment to go write him up. I already ask him some health questions and prescreen him.

Was I lucky or what? It pays to just start talking to people you see everyday and to be nice to people. Also don’t be afraid to tell people what you do for a living.

I think I was just lucky and the timing was just right. But as insurance agents we need to talk to everyone that we see.

My yard needs work, but I don't plan on buying life insurance. Will you still help me?

That is the problem. No one ever plans on buying life insurance to the last second or they think they are fixing to die.

That is a good question. But a even better question is who is going to do your hard work or be there for your family if and when something ever happens to you?

If you wife gets kick out on the streets, she won't have to worry about the yards.

LOL

LOL! Last week I went to Lowe's and it was a ghost town - you know that Hope & Change thing.

I did not write any large life cases, I did not even get any free leads.

I'll mow and weed-eat for an AOR.

How about painting?

Then why did you go?
