Long time MAPD client emails me

Knee surgery in Sept, asks me if he can get Indemnity plan to cover the copays

I quit selling those several years ago

And no longer appointed with any

Is there a waiting period? Can he get the coverage in Aug and use it in Sept? Then Drop it?

Ugh

Most have a 6 month preexisting clause and some have 12 obviously for the reason this client is trying to do.

I believe there are some KO questions, such as "do you have any upcoming tests or surgeries that have not yet been performed."

MAPD is great. Until you need to use it.

His cost over ten years with MAPD is tens of thousands less

He didnt get it by being a spendthrift!

How the hell would I know this? Your original posted ended with "ugh." I thought maybe he's a cheapskate?

All I did was make a statement about about KO questions and you got bunched up. And it's true about MAPD in a lot of cases. A lot of people love it until they have to pay for it.
