Master Insurance Claim- Big Frustration!

I am at a lose. I have all the pictures of right after the water break and 1-2 months after the break. The mold didn't appear in the picture right after the water break and it appeared at a later time. The insurance is now saying the mold is not a result of the water break!

The room might not have active ventallation system, but it has openings to outside. The insurance is saying there is no ventallation so the mold is a result of it.

What are my options now? What do I need to appeal it? Also, if it's not covered by insurance and it's still in the common area, is the condo on the hook to fix it?

Sadly it might be time to lawyer up. It seems like they are wanting to duck the claim. Of course, unless the damage is extensive, you might have a hard time finding an attorney to take it.

I'd at least take a free consultation, lay out the situation and see if the attorney thinks there is anything to pursue.

He already said he lawyered up. He should be asking his attorney for this advice, not us. I personally do not feel like getting a subpoena for a claim I am not getting paid for, lol.

I must have missed the mention of a lawyer. If so, then it is definitely time to be asking him/her for advice and not us.

snoodle, this is a time you must get aggressive, nothing shakes up things like a threat of a personal lawsuit, to the condo board.

Yes I am waiting for my lawyer's advice. I am just very nervous because I have never worked with a lawyer before.

As I mentioned before google, Mark Tatam, the man with no face. Copy one of the articles, give a copy to everyone in your building., your lawyer, the board. You may not have a killer strain, but you don't know, until it is tested!!!! The property is a minor issue, your health is the main issue!

I imagine your lawyer would have been instructing you on the strategy and exactly who is about to be sued. Developer? Board of directors? Insurer?

Strange that you are still in the dark about what is about to go down.:err:
