Med Supp Cold Calling?

I primarily work with mailers, so I try to contact a client 2 times and on the third if I still haven't reached them I will leave a message. I usually say that I just received a card they have mailed back to me with red and blue letters on it in regards to medicare supplements and they can call me back at. Doesn't work most of the time but some months I'll get 1 or 2 calls back.

And sometimes on my first or second try, Franks method works. They just call me back from seeing a missed call and ask what do I want

I agree, I always leave a message. If you leave a message you are:

A: Professional

B: Branding yourself, check out the marketing law of 7.

C: Setting yourself apart from the rest who do not.

I don't mean leaving a canned message of "hi this is so and so, this is what I do, blah blah blah" I mean one designed to elicit a response, one that entices the customer to pick up the phone and call you back.

And when they do, that's an interested party isn't it?

Do you call people back who don't leave you a message? Are you that curious or bored? Probably not, but all seniors are? And if so, is that an interested client?

People are savvier these days, especially the new baby boomers coming into medicare age, so archaic ways don't work like they used to. Will you get the curious parties calling you back if you don't leave a message, yes, but are they interested, or have you basically duped them?

I ALWAYS LEAVE A MESSAGE ON VOICE MAIL.

It is like dripping on the prospect, the same as done with direct mail or emails. The more they hear my name, the warmer the lead when I do get in contact with them.

The goal is NOT to get them to call back, which they never do. It is to remind them who I am and why I'm calling.

And, if you tell them something special about you, it reinforces that. Also, if you can speak in a pleasant voice with enthusiasm, it conveys to the prospect you are a friendly, caring person.
