The person at Medicare didn't know what they were talking about. That happens ALL the time. If you call 5 times with a complex questions, you'l be lucky to get the correct answer twice. Easy questions like that, you get the correct answer about 4 of of 5 times. Missing those easy ones that often is not good. I have to educate the Medicare rep just about every time I call if it has to do with a MA plan SEP. They are not well trained at all.
