Shannon is one of 3 RD's for EFES. I don't understand the someone else area story unless they are talking another RD.
What state are you in? That might help to explain.
Maybe he's referring to someone at EFES has his territory already... Other then that, not sure why you wouldn't be directly under Shannon, I am & I'm in Socal.

Hi I am leaving a captive agency to go out on my own as a FE broker. I was contacted by Merrill after some discussion and a request for info by me, they called me back and said that someone else had my area and they want me to go through them. They suggested I become a part of the other person's team. How does this sound to you? Does anyone know anything about Merrill? It may be a good idea as I am a total newbie to the FE business. Any thoughts?
Aren't they captive too? Just curious. I thought Equita required you only work with and sell their companies. I'd be curious of your experience.

Equita allows you to do both. If you are on their lead program, you must use their companies for their leads...but you get 2 writing #'s to use for non leads. You also dont have to go on their lead system, so you can use their companies and other companies as you wish!
