More Information on MA "True-up" Commissions?

A quarter of a million files + a computer system that I was told by an insider is not capable of sorting this out = expect delays!

If we see something by August 15th this will be a miracle.

I believe if they run this sucker for a full 12 months, then they don't have to pay the commissions. They can't collect from you if there were any errors, and you can't recover.

Initial Sales Commission – Inclusion of PDP Conversion

We truly appreciate your patience as we work with the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) in calculating commissions for initial enrollments. Initial enrollments are defined as::
  • New to Medicare (e.g. aging in – ICEP and IEP)
  • A new enrollment into a Medicare Advantage (MA) plan from Original Medicare
  • New MA enrollment converting from a PDP <
Enrollments not in these categories are paid at the replacement/renewal commission rate.

Unfortunately, CMS recently discovered that the data they have been providing excluded PDP conversions to MAPD. to validate initial sales excluded PDP conversions to MAPD. CMS has provided corrected data that will be used to process commission calculations during the August 2009 pay cycles. We anticipate that all previously excluded payments should be brought up to date by September 2009. We are required to use the CMS data to validate non ICEP initial sales.

We recognize that this may be both frustrating and inconvenient and we are doing our best to mitigate the situation. Please continue to use the pay audit process and procedure if you feel there are still pay discrepancies after August.

Again, thank you for your continued patience and support.

Humana will take all the way to September to pay up!

My chargebacks are starting on Aug. 6, 2008. Paid me too much because it was their lead, not mine. I have not been paid correctly since I started Jan. 2007.

What is the opposite of a chargeback? Commissions? Seems that the carriers do not practice the algebraic rule: what you do to one side of the equation you must do to the other.
