Ok I had my 1st exp wit a lady who had a LH policy....well, not exactly. I was doing a drive by & realized I couldnt get into her building- Sr appts. So I started to call & someone opened the door for me just as she answered...so instead of just knocking on her door I tried to get her to let me in by telling her why I was there <dumb move>.

After explaining the card to her, she said she remembered & took care of it wit a policy from LH....and all I could think about was what u guys had said about LH pricing. So I tried to just let me see if we could do better for her & save her $$...nothing doing. She wouldnt budge, saying her son liked it & she didnt want any more quotes....sounding like a typical paranoid 77yr old.

I bet if I had a good telemarketer or someone really good on the phone, they could get an appt with her so I could show her some better rates....ANY IDEAS GUYS/GALS???

Is it even worth it (rate wise) to even keep pursuing this? How much difference would a 77yr old female be from say RNA/Forestor's etc?? I dont know her health or if shes a smoker or not....if its only a few dollars, Ill just move on!

You're not going to get them all.

I have run into several LH policyholders and they don't care about saving money.

Probably would be a good idea to door knock her 6-12 months from now to follow up.

The missing puzzle pieces are 1. what size policy? and 2. How long ago did she buy it?

If she bought it recently you can definitely make it worth her time UNLESS she is in terrible health.

This lead is about 4-6 weeks old....she bought in between the time she sent it in & now, she sounded in pretty good health.

She is paying about $116/mo for $10,000 face. Would be about $83 with RNA. About $82 with Mon.

What I would do is tell her she can get $14,000 coverage for what's she is paying for $10,000.

No, what I would really do is, offer her a little over $12000 for $100/mo. Saves her money each month and get her more coverage. Looks great from both sides.

I just talked to a guy today that just bought a policy last week. He was 69 and I could only save him $5/mo. That's enough usually, but instead of telling him I could save him $5/mo I told him I could get $1000 more coverage for the same premium. He could change fast enough.

Well JD, I have no idea how much coverage she got, but after seeing how big a difference it can be....it maybe worth another try. The problem isnt really what to say JD, its how to approach? Im sure if I just show up at her door, she'll remember me and remember she told me she wasnt interested.

So Im thinking of calling, but how or what to say to have her give me a chance (above & beyond what I said today) or having someone very exp at telemarketing call instead. So I think I need a fresh voice or maybe someone non-threatening like a girl to call & see if I can get in the door....I gotta get in there somehow!!!

Anyone wanna call for me?? LoL
