My non captive agency is making me choose between them and another company.

My current agency who is non captive basically gave me an ultimatum. I work for this agency and Aflac. I fully disclosed from the day I started that I also work for Aflac. So fast forward, I had a meeting with a business to do a presentation to show what Aflac has to offer to their employees. My manager got wind of this and had a chat with me basically saying that I have to pick which company I want to work for.

Oh my bad lol can non captive agencies do that?

refer to your contract or employee handbook. Otherwise, pretty clear an Agency owner of any type can change the focus of their agency operations.

Are you W2 or 1099 and salary and/or commissions.

too many variables, but yes business to change all the time. If Elon Musk can buy an entire massive company & change its focus. So, I am pretty sure your agency upline can change some parameters of what products you solicit from relationships connected to their agency, etc

Its hard to have much of an opinion about this without knowing private information about how much money you are making from both directions here.

My gut feelingon this is that if you are not being paid a base or significant renewals - than....

However if you are making really good money from the agency, it might be an easy decision to turn off Aflac. But how much are you making from Aflac?

What does your employment contract say? Does the agency have a competitor to Aflac that they offer?
Are you on their computer selling Aflac?
