This statement concerns me a bit. Dignity and professionalism should dictate that you sell quality products that will be there to support your clients needs. Products that stand the test of time. The three companies I mentioned in my previous post have all been around since the civil war.
Basically, NYL will get you appointments with the CEO. AFLAC will get you appointments with the janitorial staff. Which would you rather work with?
Got to NYL, do your training and immediately team up with a veteran agent there and take that agent on all of your appointments and split the commission.
You can probably (possibly) make a living with a company like AFLAC (depending on market saturation in your area). Trust me, I speak from experience 3 years NML...nothing makes your weekend better than walking out of a business with three applications for life insurance in hand and an annual premium of $150,000 to fund a corporate insurance plan on the three officers. With NYL (or Mass or NML) you can do that kind of sale, with AFLAC, no way in hell you're going to be able to get in the door and write any kind of premium like that.
DAVE020 you are so off base with your BS about AFLAC. Aflac is the nations largest provider of sec. 125 programs in the country.
Next Aflac dose make appointments for you, so if you are going to see janitors the is your fault. Plus you need to see the CEO (owner HR person) first before you can see there employees.
Maybe you have heard of a company called WallMart, they are a AFLAC client. No New York Life there sorry.
AFLAC must be doing something right as the are ranked #30 best companies to work for by fortune magazine. Did not see New York Life on that list of 100 companies.
AFLAC also has a children's cancer hospital, last fall (2007) they cured a little girl who had sicacell!!the first in the WORLD!!! Again no New York Life here sorry.
So keep the AFLAC bashing going, and we at AFLAC will keep making BIG$$$$$ and helping cure CANCER with money donated right from our pay checks!! Can you say the same??
