My Review of Listshack

Maybe using a higher quality more up to date list than looking for a bargain would result in a better connect rate.

And yes. I speak from experience.

Rather than a mediocre list for $50/mo, spend a bit more and get a better list. Even the guy with the unlimited lists offers better lists for much more money (I used to sell them for $20/K when he was selling the same lists for $69/K).

Rick

Your post and JBJ above seem sincere and they were put up immediately after I said what I had to say. Both of you provide excellent information for me since I started to log in here, I will look into that.

I'm also sending you a PM, I need to start ordering some new leads, still working an original list from Oct/Nov, needs freshening up.

I will PM you for lead list tips, muchos gracias.

Rick, you using raw data or some kind of x-date vendor?

I'm glad you asked because I'm slowly reaching the end of my rope. The fella who hired me as a CC specialist hadn't figured how easily I would make nice with the owners and also I doubt he envisioned me getting my P&C Lic w/in 2 weeks once I signed up for class.

All the sudden my calling lists have dried up. We were hitting XDates heavy but now it's crickets. I also am in a 3 month training from the agency that hired me, it's boring and slowly killing me. Do we really need training on data entry? And the Acct Mgrs just kavetch and complain about everything they have to do, they hate it when the phone rings, they hate faxes, they hate everything and they neg me out after a while.

I am close to just buying any leads so I have fresh numbers and things to focus on.

My master list of high value homeowners in my state is getting older by the day. 11,000 names, some of them have not been touched but the list is now a few months old and I am worried we might call someone who is now on the DNC list...I probably can use this another few months but it's in the back of my mind.

----------

Just for comparison the list I am using costs in the neighborhood of $1,000 I was told...I hear that Josh at Listshack can generate similar info to what I am using now...$50 a month and the lists are scrubbed a couple times a year from everything I read.

Why not go out on your own? Start going after some of the upper middle market. Household premiums can still get up to $5k in the coastal areas.

If you go to donotcall.gov and get a SAN (the agency probably has one anyway) you can use Predictive Dialers System, Mortgage Automatic Dialer, Make My Calls and rescrub your list every 30 days so you'd be compliant there.

Pretty much. Our base plan is $50/month and lets you download up to 5,000 at a time and up to 50,000/month. Even on our more expensive lists we'd do the 11,000 you say you paid $1,000 for at less than $500 with a 100% replacement/refund on any bad data.

Many years later (and almost 2 to the day since last post) I come to revive said conversation and ask about current feelings, feedback, reviews, and results about ListShack, please.

I'm looking at telemarketing for residential real estate financing - debt consolidation.

Will the lists match my needs (filter criteria) and what kind of success rate of valid numbers (live and actually attached to the contact named in the list) would I expect?

Anything else to add you can think of would also be appreciated!

Thanks in advance!

If you're looking for residential real estate financing and debt consolidation, we're not gonna be the ticket for you. We provide raw marketing data with targeted demographics vs information people have put on forms.

Thanks for chiming in again!

However, my thought is that I would need to target a list matching certain demographics to telemarket those matches for lead generation.

Sorry, I’m a little confused by your response and why your raw demographic data wouldn’t work toward my target.

That makes a ton of sense. We have people doing it, but it's a grind. If you call about 8 or 9 out of 10 will be the right person and the right address. That number goes up if you're calling older homeowners in the evening (most reliable group to find) and then if you go down in age, income, or ditch homeowners people tend to be much more transient so you end up finding their contact info has a much shorter shelf life.

If you're looking for the least expensive way to get in the door, getting a ListShack.com subscription for $50 is the cheapest way to get data outside of the phone book and it's available 24/7.

The real sales pitch for ListShack is that for $50 you can find out if it works. We have no contracts, no fees, and you can cancel any time you want. Try us for $50 and have a great time? Awesome, keep giving us 50 bucks a month :) Try us for $50 and it doesn't work, for $50 you know what your results are. As far as marketing tests go, it's about a tenth of the cost of testing any other methods out.
