Need 10 more!

I currently have RNA,FORRESTERS,SNL and AMICABLE.I would like to have 10 more to round out my f/e grab bag.any recomindations :err: would be appreciated. thxs in advance

Carriers I use with higher frequency:

1) Transamerica: Love/Hate (mostly hate) relationship -- once you get used to the application, they are a great niche carrier for COPD cases and those with lots of meds, as they rate based on first event, not first fill. Rates are competitive enough.

2) Untied Heritage: Easy application, good bread and butter carrier -- rates are in line with other no-POS carriers like United Heritage. Graded business pays full comp.

3) Americo: New UP2 is perfect when TA doesn't work for 100% first day coverage.

4) 5Star: I send a lot of Graded business its way as Graded is much easier to qualify for than Level coverage.

Ancillary Carriers include:

a) Settlers: Really only for low face amounts, Bronze Plans, and 10-Pays

b) Lafayette Life: Use for really healthy people wanting 10-Pays and where price could be primary buying factor (like in replacing competitively-priced SIWL products)

c) Aetna: When nothing else works when it should.

d) RNA: Good for A-Fib

Settlers is also the first company to look at for any under age 50 cases if fully underwritten is out of the question. A lot of great uses for them there as long as no insulin.

I'd rather use standard than settlers.

While I'm not a big Settlers agent, I have never had the same level of frustration with Settlers, as I've had with Transamerica or 5Star.

The biggest problems I've experienced with Settlers is sending applicants to them with a boatload of medications, or those with "heavy" meds like blood thinners, carvedilol, etc.

I've learned to send those cases to first event carriers like Transamerica, or first-fill carriers like United Heritage, when difference between each is negligible.

They do need to come out with a POS approval system for those situations, however.

Because I can.

Tighty whities kept it all in check when I was a boy. Being a man of advanced age it takes boxer briefs now, thank you.

On a different note, Why do you SCREAM :arghh: so much? We will still pay attention to you if you do not you know.

I remember when UH started doing PHIs and we complained, now they have stopped and I wish they gave us the option again. Once they get the new rates in CA they will become my # one or two company again. Their Graded is pretty easy as well.

You are the one asking for others to do your work. You do not dictate what is posted on this or any thread. Ask 50 agents in this forum for a list and and you will get 25 different list for 100 different reasons. Look at Newby's list I have maybe half of those and have 5 others for my own reasons.

Instead of getting your underroos in a bunch over a post thank them or ignore them why piss on someone's shoes you asked for help from today and may need later? <Damn, that is a long sentence>

PS... I am not an FE only agent.

Who are you masked man if not an FE agent and yes I agree with your statement.

I am a Life Insurance agent. More an old style agent. The "FE" product is no different than Term, UL or WL to me. It is a tool to fix a problem. Only a part of my income. I am told FE is about the FE Market. Very low income, little education and procrastinators. I do not mind the procrastination, I can fix that, flat broke I can not. I may write a few of those but I do not look for them. Of my FE premium last month only $3-4 thousand max was from what I would call the FE Market. That is one of the reasons I ask the questions I ask here. The FE only guys really know their market. I probably sell as much to kids insuring parents and grandparents than to the actual insured.

I am curious. Do you generally find your appointments to be this frustrating for you?
